Last Event: Potluck/Gift Exchange @ Cynthia's House (December 6th)

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone enjoyed our activities this semester. Our last event for the fall semester is a holiday potluck/gift exchange at Cynthia's house.

A car pool sign-up sheet will be available on Monday. First come, first serve. There will not be a fee to carpool, but we still need drivers. We will leave at 10:30am from Wendy's. Please don't be late. We will return around 1-2pm.

We will have the following activities: (a) a potluck lunch, and (b) a gift exchange. Please bring a main dish to share with everyone...this will be our lunch. If you would like to participate in the gift exchange (after lunch), please bring a wrapped item (new or used) within the $5-10 dollar range.

I look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday, and I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday break!

Ice Skating: Pershing Square (Thursday November 29th)

Hi Everyone,

This week we will go ice skating at Pershing Square (downtown). We will leave USC (outside room 108 of the URC) at 11:30am. We will take the DASH, and I will supply the tickets. It opens at 12:00, so we will skate for an hour, then enjoy lunch together. We will return about 2:30-3pm. The cost to skate for 1 hour is $8.00 ($6 to enter, and $2 for the skates).

If you've never skated on ice before, it's really fun. Please wear pants (preferably jeans) and bring an extra pair of socks for padding. We will eat lunch together afterwards, so bring something to eat. You may also want to bring gloves (and/or a double pair of pants) just in case you fall on the ice (it helps break the fall).

Thanksgiving: Free Food (Wednesday Novemeber 21st @ 11:00am)

Hi Everyone,

Students and spouses are invited to join us on Wednesday November 21st at 11:00am for a Thanksgiving feast. Please feel free to bring a dessert, but it's not necessary. We look forward to having everyone join us on this special American holiday!

Camarillo Outlet: Shopping (November 15, 2007)

Hi Everyone,


On Thursday we will go to the Camarillo Shopping Outlet. We will leave from Wendy's at 9am. The cost is $5.00. Drivers are needed! It takes an hour to get there, so that's why we need to leave early. Return times will depend on driver availability.


A sign-up sheet will be available on Monday. This is the first time a shopping event has been organized for the ELP. So, sign-up, save your money, and get ready to find something cool to wear for the winter holidays. Here's the web-site (just in case you want to plan your trip):

This Week's Event: Baseball (Thursday: November 9th, 2007)

Join us on Thursday and learn how to play baseball. The more the merrier! We will meet in the URC at 9:30am, then go to the USC track and have some fun.
